The Kerala State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) on April 10, 2026, issued a circular regarding Consent management of Non-bedded Health Care Facilities.
The following has been stated: -
•As per Central Pollution Control Board directions, all Health Care Facilities must obtain consent under Red, Orange, or Green categories based on classification.
•Non-bedded HCFs are categorized under the Green category and are now required to obtain Consent to Operate.
•Fees already paid under the Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016, authorization will be adjusted against consent fees.
•The earlier circular stands cancelled due to this revised classification.
